One of our clients woke up early.
So early, the sun had barely risen.
Half asleep, she reached for her phone and began the morning ritual of skimming the overnight notifications from Lexer.
There was an unusual notification.
A notification seemingly for an entirely different business team.
A news article being shared about that team’s product by a major media publication.
Our client forwarded the email on to a friend in the other team and wrote a note. “FYI,” the note said, “You’ve probably already seen this, but you never know.”
Whoosh goes the email.
Immediately afterwards: Ring ring.
“WHAT! WHERE DID YOU SEE THAT? THANK YOU SO MUCH!!”
*click* beep beep beep…
It turns out
The other team hadn’t seen the article.
And the story was embargoed until later that afternoon.
A story about an announcement not quite ready for the news.
But the media publication had gone very, very early. Too early.
The instant notifications combined with the kindness of our client had alerted the right people, at the right time, to take immediate action.
The tiniest gestures of collaboration can mean the world to your colleagues.
Working together towards a better outcome is a very human thing to do.
